Mindy Riesenberg

Mindy Riesenberg is a visionary marketing and communications executive with a distinguished career leading cross-functional teams in the arts, healthcare, higher education, and conservation sectors. Since 2017, she has served as Chief Communications Officer for Grand Canyon Conservancy, the official nonprofit partner of Grand Canyon National Park. In this role, Mindy has transformed the organization’s communications strategy, most notably spearheading the successful rebranding from Grand Canyon Association to Grand Canyon Conservancy and leading national and international outreach for the Park’s Centennial celebration in 2019 in collaboration with the National Park Service. She is also a liaison to the 11 tribal communities that call Grand Canyon home.

Mindy is a strategic storyteller and brand architect who works closely with park leadership to elevate public engagement and build enduring partnerships. Her ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact has made her a sought-after voice in nonprofit marketing and public affairs.

Before joining GCC, Mindy held key communications roles with the Center for the Future of Arizona and was a reporter for Cronkite News, where her in-depth work on sustainability and water issues earned her a Rocky Mountain Emmy nomination in 2017 for the documentary Camels Don’t Fly, Deserts Don’t Bloom. She also led marketing efforts for prominent art institutions, including the Kimbell Art Museum, the Walters Art Museum, and Phoenix Art Museum.

Mindy holds a B.A. in Journalism from San Diego State University, a Master’s degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and a Digital Marketing certification from the American Marketing Association. She is also a graduate Fellow of the Leading for Change Arizona civic leadership program. A frequent speaker at national conferences and universities, Mindy has presented for the American Marketing Association, American Alliance of Museums, and the Andy Harvey Indigenous Youth Media Workshop. Outside of work, she is a professional singer and passionate adventurer who enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her two beloved dogs, Annie and Roxie.
